I’ve been professionally writing and editing for more than 20 years.

Early on, I covered music, culture, and environmental and social issues as a journalist during the zine heyday for indie and mainstream publications — some of which I still do today, along with creative prose and fiction.*

In that time, I started working as a freelance copy editor and proofreader, first in magazine publishing, expanding into book, advertising and communications, design, and eventually comprehensive projects for individual clients: directing, writing, and editing. I’ve also traveled some rewarding portions of the world, often by bicycle.

I hold a degree in English (with a specialization in writing) and a minor in biology from NYU.
